Charles E. Hurley   "Chuck"

Macedon/Walworth:  Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at his side.  Chuck was born on November 19,1929 to the late Arvel and Lydia "Jones" Hurley.  He is predeceased by his sister Leona Hurley and brothers, Ronald and Roger Kratzenberg.  He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley; daughter Dianne (Mike) Byers; sons, Larry (Tracey), Greg (Debbie) and Michael (Judy) Hurley; brother Dale Kratzenberg; sister, Linda (Ben) Stein; ten grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with one on the way; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Chuck retired after 43 years of service with the American Can Company.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tractor pulls. Our family was blessed to witness, and enjoy, the greatest love story we will ever know.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502 where a service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11AM.  Interment will take place at the Macedon Village Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Chuck's name to the Alzheimer's Association.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, or upload a photo, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
