Doris M. Weston

Sodus/Ontario:  Passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the age of 87.  Doris was born on November 25, 1928 in Elmira, NY to the late Paul and Dorothy "Patterson" Casseta.  She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Timothy) King; son, Scott (Chris) Weston; grandchildren, Marigrace King, Andrea Holly, Joshua (Holly) Syrell, Rebecca (Jeff) Besserglick, Bethany Weston and Zachary Weston; 13 great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Doris was a survivor of the polio epidemic and her family has been supportive of the efforts by Rotary International to eradicate polio throughout the world.  Doris had been a Red Hatter and also enjoyed her bible studies while a resident at Blossom View in Sodus, NY.  She loved her family very much and was also fond of her granddog, Candy.  On a rare occasion, Doris could be found enjoying her guilty pleasure of having a hot fudge sundae for her breakfast.  She was loved by her family and will be fondly remembered by them.

A service of remembrance will be offered on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 6PM, at the First Baptist Church of Ontario, 1929 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Memorials in memory of Doris may be directed to the Rotary International Polio Eradication Initiative, c/o, Ontario-Walworth Rotary Club, PO Box 4, Ontario, NY 14519.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
