It was with sadness that I learned of Gert's recent passing. I taught with her over fifty years ago in Williamson; Gert was a special person you could not easily forget. She always had a smile on her face, a true joy to be with. The children loved her. Not once was there a time when any of them hesitated going to her for additional reading assistance. She was a warm, caring person whom I'm sure will be missed by many.

To all the Doyles, We were such good friends with Gert, while Joe taught at WCS and we were parishioners with her and all you Doyles. What a wonderful lady, inside and out. That beautiful smile is what I'll always remember. You're now up in Heaven with all the Doyles that went before and looking down on all of us. Peace!!! Theresa Bucci

I have been so blessed to have taught with Gert! She taught me volumes on how to teach reading! She was always vibrant, ready to try new techniques and loved children! What a great lady! She leaves a wonderful legacy of a Christian lady!

How can we say good-by to Gert? She has been so much a part of life here at St. Max! Just reading about her full life makes me want to be a better person, a better Christian.
Fare well, Gert, and may we meet again.

Ms. Doyle was my seventh grade reading teacher and also one of our class advisors. During the ice storm of 2001 I had the privilege of seeing her again when I had to move my mother to the Wayne County Nursing Home until the electric was restored in our house. Ms. Doyle was caring for her sister and shared the room with my mother. It was a joy to see her again. Many prayers for her family and friends.

To our "Doyle Family",
We were saddened to learn of Gert's passing but know God is now taking good care of her. She admired for having lived a long and wonderful life and also for contributing her educational knowledge to so many people for so many years. We will miss seeing her and chatting with her over a glass of port. Here's a toast to Gert...A life well lived!!!

What a wonderful life for a beautiful woman. Gert was my mentor and introduced me to Dick and Jane while teaching first grade at Williamson. I loved her sense of humor and her devotion to teaching and the students of Williamson Central School.

Aunt Gert was a wonderful, devout, family-oriented individual and an inspiration to all. Because we have lived in New Mexico for many years, we only saw her occasionally over the years but kept in touch by beautifully written letters. She did try her hand at mastering the computer and we were treated to a few e-mails. She spent her full life learning and taught us all much. Thank you Aunt Gert. You will remain in our daily prayers.

Dear Doyle family, I send my deepest condolences to all of you! Miss Doyle was my teacher in seventh grade reading! She was our class advisor at SCS in 1965. She was also a friend in DKG! She was always interested in everything going on and asked about everyone's life! She was such an active member of the school community and dedicated her life to reading, traveling, dining, and her family and friends! I will miss her sweet smile! Love and friendship, Betsy Wahl

We thank God for the life he let us share with Gert and I am blessed to have known her. We are united with our sister in Christ by a bond that can never be broken. We believe that united with Christ in heaven our sister will increase the holiness of the Church and ours. Gert is in her own country and at home with the Lord. My prayers
