Rosemary Spang

Tonawanda/Brighton: Passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Rochester, NY at the age of 89.  She was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Olive "Buchheit" Miller.  She was predeceased by her husband Theodore C. Spang and her infant son, Thomas.  She is survived by her sons; Michael (Dianne) Spang of  Perinton, NY, Mark (Patricia) Spang of Bay Village, Ohio, John (Lisa) Spang of Woodstock, Georgia and Charles (Lisa Blackshear) Spang of Asheville, North Carolina; Ten grandchildren, Sue (Sarah) Spang-Zolan, Michelle Spang, Charles (Melissa) Spang, Kelly Spang, Timothy (Mandy) Spang, Valerie (Austyn) Krutsinger, Karinna Spang, Ethan Spang, Erica Rose Spang and Daniel Spang; 5 great  grandchildren, Brenden Hidock, Keira Spang, Teagan Spang, Mary Jane Krutsinger and Caroline Krutsinger.

Rosemary attended St. Margaret's Elementary School and Holy Angels Academy.  For nearly fifty years she resided on Patricia Drive in Tonawanda where she was a parishoner of St. Christopher Parish and was a member of the Outreach program.  For a period of time she worked at the Buffalo Currier Express and had also worked in retail at the Boulevard Mall.

Friends and family may gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 4-7PM, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2671 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14610.  A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 9:30AM at St. Christopher Parish, 2660 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Tonawanda, NY 14150.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Friendly Home Memorial Fund, 3156 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, upload a photo, or order a floral arrangement, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
