William Klaeysen

Palmyra:  Died on January 22, 2018 at age 101.  Bill was predeceased by his wife Irene.  Survived by his 4 children, Anne (Glenn Newman) of Brooklyn, Helen (John O’Grady) and John (Theresa) of Albany, and Paul of Chicago; 4 grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Newman, Christopher and Ryan Klaeysen; and great granddaughter, Brie Klaeysen; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran.  He was a mechanic, school bus driver and community volunteer.

Family and friends may gather for visiting hours from 4-7 PM on Thursday (January 25) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (January 26) at 11 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in St. Anne’s Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to The Palmyra/Macedon Food Pantry, 52 Main St., Macedon, NY 14502 or to the Palmyra Community Center, 424 Stafford St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
