Betty “Jean” Roets

Macedon: Betty Jean was 85 years old and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 26, 2018. Predeceased by her parents George (“Daddy”) and Doris (“Ma”) Doyle; brothers, Bob and Jim Doyle; grandsons, “Mikey” Wallenhorst II, Larry II and Lee Benedict, and her favorite dog Reggie. Survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Donald; sisters, Shirley Youngman and Helen DeMay; sisters-in-law, Connie and Elaine Doyle; her children, Dick (Chris) Roets, Bonnie (Chris) D’Ercole, Linda (Larry) Benedict, Tom (Kim) Roets, Sheila (Mike) Wallenhorst, Julie Letta, Tim (Ally) Roets; 24 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty “Jean” was a warm, wonderful compassionate wife, sister, mom, grandma and great-grandma who lovingly cared for all her family and friends, especially those in need.
Family and friends may call at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31 Macedon on Monday (April 30) 3-7PM. Betty Jean’s Funeral Mass will be at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in St. Patrick’s Church, Main Street Macedon on Tuesday (May 1) at 10 AM. Interment Macedon Village Cemetery. Betty Jean’s kids would like to thank the DeMay Living Center for working compassionately with the family to make Betty Jean’s passing as comfortable as possible and continue to compassionately take care of our dad, Donald.
