She worked for several years at St. Mary’s Hospital. While there, she obtained an accounting degree from Empire State College. She then became an office manager for Monroe Radiology. When the practice dissolved, she was asked to work for Dr. Jim Lincoln performing payroll and accounting services. She agreed to this as long as she could work from home. She also managed the books for her brother Joe’s excavating business and babysat for nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews throughout the years. Carmella finally retired around the age of 80 and enjoyed leisure time with family and friends. Her outings in these later years revolved around socializing at breakfast at Konstantinou’s Restaurant and lunch at the Lakeside Diner and family functions.
Her family wants her remembered for her fierce dedication and love for her family. Throughout the years, she could be counted on to help with any activity – from babysitting to helping prepare food for large family gatherings to doing taxes! She was so loved and will be so missed.
