Macedon: Caroline died on June 26, 2017 at age 91.  She was born on June 25, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Peter and Helen Lee.  Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Donald Morgenstern.  She survived by her 8 children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister and brother.

Caroline was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved her country of the United States of America.  Some of her favorite music to listen to was Irish music and big band music.  Dates and times in history were important to Caroline as she put together a family lineage and tree.  While she worked in New York City, she oversaw filing papers and information on the battles of World War II.  Caroline had a talent for drawing and would often draw portraits of family members.  She briefly worked for an advertising company as an artist.  Caroline loved her family and being with people.  She was devoted to her husband Thomas, with whom she is reunited with in Heaven.  Together they had 8 children.  Caroline was very strong in her faith in God, which carried her through all her life.   

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation on Thursday (June 29) from 4-6 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502, where a funeral service will be held at 6 PM.  Interment will be held on Friday (June 30) at 1:30 PM in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Caroline’s memory may be directed to Pines of Peace, 2378 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519, which provided understanding and comfort for Caroline and her family.  To view Caroline’s full notice or to leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
