So sad, I have known Charlie for 15 years as a member of the Code Enforcement Community, his commitment to public safety will surely remain an inspiration to those who follow. Above all thought I will remember Charlie as morally one of the finest persons I have ever met, treating people fairly and honestly, always willing to put in the extra effort, these are truly the traits of a remarkable man. I have been blessed to know Charlie, thinking of him will certainly guide my future.

Our hearts ache for you Deb. Charlie's leaving was so sudden, so unexpected. Although the last few years we only saw him briefly, there was no doubt that he was a very special guy and so very talented. A common phrase to to state that Charlie should Rest In Peace, but we think he is already in Heaven creating a beautiful piece of furniture for the Almighty; it's just that he left us here too soon. Hugs to you and all the family.

Deb and family, I can't tell you how sorry I am that you have lost Charlie. We didn't always see eye to eye, but he was a great guy, fair and honest in his j ob and with his friends. His loss will be felt by many people for a long time. My deepest condolences to all of you.

From kindergarden on, Charlie and I always respected each other. We enjoyed, as friends, so many laughs, hot cars, great music and high times growing up. You left us too soon. Deb and their families as well as the Town of Ontario & Greater Wayne County have lost a true TREASURE !! Candid, honest,, sarcastic, perfectionist, creative, persistent, helpful, resourceful, frugal, fair, modest, cookie lover -- just a few words that reflect on this great man's character.
Just like when my dad died without notice @ age 49 some 56 years ago, there is a huge hole in our hearts .... and in our community !! He has left his legacy in the many friends he had and made, the excellent work he did in and on town facilities and the high standards he set for himself and others !!
I am proud and grateful to have exchanged banter and opinions on fact and fiction and to have considered him a friend...even when he called me "Governor ??? !!" He was and will always be "Prince Charles" of Ontario !!
Our deepest sympathy to Deb and the family ....
