Ontario: May 18, 2018; Suddenly at age 60. Predeceased by son, Joseph Daniel McGary; brother-in-law, Donald Podlish; in-laws, Patricia and Walter DeLorme, George Bundoc;  Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Amy McGary, son, Daniel N. McGary, daughter, Amber (Josh Angelo) McGary; step-granddaughter, Elise Angelo; parents, Fred and
Josephine McGary; siblings, Fred McGary, Jim (Lisa) McGary, Mary Jo Podlish; sister-in-law, Sheila Pimentel, brothers-in-law, David Bundoc, Ross Bundoc, Richard (Julie) DeLorme, Greg (Mary) DeLorme; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including Papa's special dog friends, Marco and Mona.

Dan proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 27 years and most recently worked for the New York State Thruway Authority. In his spare time, Dan liked to "buy junk and sell antiques." He enjoyed projects, working around the house and spending time with loved ones. He adored his family and often referred to his wife and children as his 3 best friends. Dan will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, his ability to make a room full of people laugh and for his loving devotion to his family.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 PM on Wednesday (May 23) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Friends are invited to meet the family on Thursday (May 24) at 9:30 AM at St. Kateri at Christ The King Church for his memorial mass, 445 Kings Hwy. S., Rochester, NY 14617. Reception to follow.
