Edward J. Van Order  "Eddie"

Penfield/Wellsboro, PA:  Passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 70. Eddie was born on November 28, 1948, in Wellsboro, PA to the late Howard and Eunice "Decker" Van Order. He is survived by his loving brother, Tom (Karen) Van Order; nephew, Chris Van Order; great niece Alexis Van Order as well as extended family and friends through his sister-in-law Karen's family and his fellow residents at CDS Residential Home located in Penfield, NY.

Eddie will be dearly missed by his family and friends and forever in our hearts.  He was a major part of the CDS Atlantic Avenue home where he resided for the past 8 years; and where he thought he was the “boss” of the house.  Eddie enjoyed spending time with his brother and family for holidays and special occasions.  His outgoing personality captured the hearts of everyone that were fortunate enough to meet him.  There is a special place in heaven for Eddie. The family would like to thank the CDS Atlantic Avenue staff who took such great care of him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502 on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 4-6 PM where a service of remembrance will immediately follow.  A committal service will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 12 Noon, in the Wellsboro Cemetery, 104 Nichols Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations, in memory of Eddie,  may be made to CDS Monarch, 860 Hard Road, Webster, NY 14580.  To light a candle, leave a condolence, upload a photo or offer a floral tribute please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
