Elizabeth Mary DeNearing     "Betty"

Macedon:  Passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 96.  Betty was born in Canandaigua, NY on July 1, 1921 to the late John and Anna "Santangelo" Cufari.  She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1992.  She is survived by her son James "Jim" (Carrie) DeNearing and daughter, Barbara DeNearing; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Betty lived much of her adult life in Palmyra raising her children.  She was employed for a time at the Palmyra-Macedon High School in the office and retired from the sales department at Garlock Industries.  Betty was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Macedon, NY and had been a resident at Parkwood Heights for more than 15 years.  Most of all, Betty loved being a mother and spending time with her family.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 9-9:45AM for a prayer, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  Everyone is invited to process to St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 52 Main Street, Macedon, NY 14502 for a 10AM Funeral Mass.
