Words can not replace the void left in your lives. The important thing is that the memories will always be there in your hearts. It saddens us to loose a friend, and great scouted like Jim. We must remember that God needs Scout leaders in heaven as well. Prayers for all of you, and may you find pease in your time until you meet again.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jim was my friend since our VA days. He was a great man and friend who loved his family very much. Words cannot begin to express how he impacted so many people beyond his own family.
I hope that you will be able to take comfort in God's plan and strength as well as the love of friends and the community. Please know that you and your family are not alone as you grieve and heal. May you find strength in each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My Thoughts and Prayers are with your family. I met Jim through Scouting, but one day I was surprised to hear his voice when Paychex called for my payroll, He said " Hi this is Jim, I am covering for Nelson, do you have your payroll ready?" My response was " Baxter?".
It will be impossible to fill the void he has left. He was a kind friend. He will be sorely missed by so many.

My heart goes out to Heather and their children. A long time ago, we all laughed and spent time together. Carefree days before life moved on. Those days, and Jim, were memorable. He was definitely one of the good ones. I am so sorry to hear news of his passing. The world's loss, is heaven's gain.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Jim's passing. I've been thinking about you all since. I hope you are finding strength in each other.

I consider Jim a great friend, and am lucky to have met and worked with him in the OA. It was Jim that urged me to get more involved, and I could never thank him enough because it's so rewarding. As I got to know him better, I appreciated the great man, father, and Scouter I saw in him!

His no-nonsense approach, sincerity and great sense of humor are what I like about Jim the most. I will always have the fond memory of holding Vigil the same night as he and Chayton did. We played a lot of Euchre, that's for sure :)

I got to spend a week at scout camp with Jim a few years ago. It was one of the more relaxing weeks of my life, in large part because Jim was so easy going and laid back about everything. I enjoyed his dry sense of humor, and am glad I got the chance to know him better. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, and send his family all my best...

My thoughts and prayers are with Heather, their children and the rest of his family. Jim was a very close friend of mine when I was a young adult. He was a big part of my life then and I loved him dearly as a friend. I am sad I did not get to see him but was so happy we were able to talk by phone. He had a particular infectious laugh, good sense of humor and was just a good guy! I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you all in this time. It will take time but treasure the memories! Please let me know if you need anything.
