Richard Anthony Pitzeruse
Macedon: Richard (Dick) Pitzeruse was a determined man. He suffered many complicated medical issues over the years, beginning with a year-long confinement for polio when he was 12. He kept fighting back against declining health- including a recent struggle with heart issues and complications. He stopped the struggle and said good-bye to family members on August 21st, and succumbed at 3:30 AM, August 22, 2018 at Crest Manor in Fairport, NY.
He leaves a large family including; his wife, Arline; children Carol, Donald, Robin, and Linda; sister Phyllis; brother in law Chet, and 6 grandchildren (Michael, Don, Kevin, Angie, Kelly, Laura) and their spouses, 8 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces and their families. He was pre-deceased by his mother and father, his brother, and two sisters. Family was Important to Dick.
Dick was a fixture at McLouth Chevrolet, in Macedon, NY (which became VanBortel Chevrolet) having worked there in various capacities for 52 years, and likely no one in the area has a Chevrolet that Dick didn’t work on. His humor and strength will be missed.
There will be no services per Dick's wishes. Donations in his memory may be made to Macedon Ambulance or Crest Manor nursing home.
