Robert H Allen, 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 11, 2018. Robert was born on May 27, 1923 in Rochester, NY to Ernest and Bernice "Stone" Allen. He met Frances Greene at Atlantic Union College where he was completing his degree in Chemistry. They were married in Rhode Island, at the family farm, on August 2, 1947. He worked for Taylor Instruments and Voplex in Rochester, NY.

Dedicated to his family and his church, Robert spent his retirement compiling information on the history of the church. He also enjoyed writing poetry and was called on to commemorate important family events.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, brothers, sister, and wife. He was survived by his sons, David (Beth) Allen, James (Marilee) Allen; his grandchildren, Melissa (David) Sloane, Shawn (Julie) Allen, Rebecca (Richard) Runnals, Chad Allen, Robert (Kristina) Allen; great-grandchildren, Megan Sloane, Kristen Sloane, Samantha Runnals, Kimberly Runnals, Ashley Sloane, Audrey Sloane, Hannah Runnals, Sarah Runnals, James Allen, Ian Allen, Lauren Allen, Emery Allen, Eilidh Allen, Seth Allen; great-great grandchildren,  Liam Gillens, Pandora Sloane; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert H. Allen will be offered on April 22, 2018,  at 2 pm,  at Bay Knoll Church, 2639 E. Ridge Rd., Rochester, NY 14622.
