Palmyra: Robert passed away on May 1, 2018 at age 92.  He was born in Canandaigua, NY to David and Marie Williams.  Predeceased by his wife, Norma Williams; sisters, Geraldine, Irene and Joan; brothers, Arthur, Ronald, James, Jack and David.  Robert is survived by his daughters, Norma (Thomas) Gardner and Roberta “Bobbie” (Dennis) Blevins; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Dolores; brother, Harry Williams; many nieces and nephews.

Robert grew up in Shortsville, NY.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  A retiree from Garlock after 40 years of service.  Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at his family cottage on Seneca Lake.  He was a member of the Palmyra Moose, Knights of Columbus, VFW and enjoyed being the town Santa Claus for many years.  The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 2300 wing in Clifton Springs Nursing Home, for their care.

Family and friends may call from 10 AM – 12 PM on Friday (May 4) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  Robert’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday (May 4) at 1 PM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in St. Anne’s Church, 136 Church St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  Contributions in Robert’s memory may be directed to Clifton Springs Nursing Home, give.rochesterregional.org.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
