Wesley C. Hawkins

Ontario: Wes passed away with his family by his side on December 21, 2017 at age 36.  He was predeceased by his grandfather, Sears Blair.  Wes is survived by his wife, Christina Hawkins; children, Logan and Jacob Hawkins; parents, Kenneth (Pamela) Hawkins and Lisa (Kurt Attenberger) Hawkins; siblings, Savannah Hawkins and Kenneth Hawkins; grandparents, Jack (Cathy) Hawkins and Joan Blair;  mother and father-in-law, Gerald (Janie) Santangelo and Mary (Larry) Wolfbrandt; sisters-in-law, Andrea Santangelo and Kelsea Wolfbrandt; brother-in-law, Jameson (Jen) Dey; step sisters, Rochelle Dunn and Alyssa Garcia; step brother, Justin Elliot; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Wes loved drag racing and would participate in races at Spencer Speedway, Empire Dragway and Lancaster National Speedway.  He most enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, cutting the lawn and relaxing outside.  One of his favorite places to be was at his family camp in Hammondsport, NY.  Wes loved watching and playing sports, including watching his favorite football team, the Detroit Lions and Syracuse basketball.  During most of the holidays, Wes would enjoy putting on and organizing different festivities for his neighbors and friends.  Above all, Wes was a very devoted family man whom was highly respected by his family and friends.  His craft for carpentry work will live in the pieces he has made and those whom he taught the craft.  Wes was a fighter and never gave into his illness, always keeping a positive attitude.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4-8 PM on Friday (December 29) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1961 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.  Contributions in Wes’ memory may be directed to an education fund in Logan and Jacob’s name, which has been set up through Summit Federal Credit Union.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
