Penfield: Wesley died unexpectedly in his sleep on June 20, 2017 at age 2.  He is survived by his loving and adoring parents, Brian and Christina Smith; loving brother and best friend, Bennett Smith; grandparents, Richard and Evelyn Manca, Deborah (Steve) Cottingham and James E. Smith; aunts and uncles, Anitra (Phil) Thompson, Betsy (Michael) Horton and Suzanne (Josh) Wilson; cousins, Sophia, William, Anna, Bradley, Noah and Evie.

The world had Wesley for a short but extraordinary time. A wondrously joyful boy, he was full of smiles, laughter and giggles. Eager for adventure, he was exuberant, energetic and full of ideas. He loved running, biking, jumping, singing and, most especially, dancing. Intrigued with his world, he spent endless time exploring, digging and playing with his big brother, also his best friend and tormentor. Full of curiosity, creativity and music, he charmed each and every person he had the opportunity to meet. He challenged and made his parents laugh daily. He was a stubborn and spunky little boy who freely gave hugs, kisses, snuggles and affection. He was a spectacular young boy who was cherished and loved by all. His spirit will be within us always.
