Adam passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife and children. Born on October 25, 1966, in Rochester, New York, to Lynne Parker and Charles Greenly, he was the second of three brothers. Adam attended Roth High School and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University at Buffalo in 1989. Over his 31-year career at Captivaire, he earned the respect and affection of those around him through his intelligence, dedication, strong work ethic, and warm, personable nature.

In 2016, Adam met Reneé, his soulmate and the love of his life. They married on August 4, 2018, and together created a life filled with faith, family, travel, and deep devotion to one another. Shortly after they met, Adam completed the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and became Catholic. His faith grew to become a guiding presence in his life. He loved St. Joseph’s Church, and before his illness, he and Reneé served together on the Parish Council. Their years together were far fewer than they had dreamed, but the love they shared was profound and the life they built was beautiful.

Adam was strong, caring, quick-witted, and genuinely kind. He had a natural way of making people feel welcome and valued, and the many lifelong friendships he formed through work and throughout his life were a reflection of the man he was. Travel brought him great joy—from childhood vacations with his parents and brothers, to adventures with his own children, and finally to the treasured journeys he shared with Reneé.

Adam also enjoyed playing poker and watching sports, especially golf and football—Go Bills! An avid golfer, he especially cherished the time he spent teaching his son Josh to play. As a father, Adam was compassionate, steady, supportive, and deeply loving. He had a remarkable gift for making any problem disappear—or at least making it feel lighter. Through both his words and his example, he taught his children what it meant to love deeply, remain strong, and always put family first.

One of Adam’s greatest joys was being Papa. He was a loving and deeply beloved grandfather whose presence made every occasion more special. He could be found cheering proudly from the sidelines at his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, always their biggest fan. He treasured the simple moments most: backyard swims, s’mores, games, puzzles, and conversations about whatever interest a grandchild wanted to discuss. His grandchildren knew how completely they were loved, and the memories they made with him will remain in their hearts forever.

Adam leaves behind a family who loved him beyond measure: his wife, Reneé; his mother, Lynne Parker; his father and stepmother, Charles (Sylvia Greenly /YOM); his brothers, David (Laurie) Greenly and Eric (Cheryl) Greenly; his children, Josh (Samantha) Greenly, Maddy Greenly (Frank), Adrienne (Javier) Heckle-Algarin, Tyler (Justice) Walther, Ashly (Nate) Switzer, Caitlin (Dan) Epner, and Jacqueline Flint; his ten cherished grandchildren; and many beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in Penfield on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of Adam’s life.

Adam’s life ended far too soon, leaving an absence that can never truly be filled. Yet his love remains—in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, the faith that sustained him, and the countless lives made better because he was part of them. He will be remembered for his strength, determination, humor, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Adam’s life was a gift, and he will be loved and missed more than words can express.
