Alan J. Johnstone

Alan passed away on January 1, 2021 at age 84.  He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Gertrude and Allen Johnstone.  Alan was also predeceased by his brothers, Donald Johnstone and William (Rick) Johnstone; sister, Mary Fitch.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Johnstone; daughter, Cassandra (Paul) Osborne; sons, Alan Johnstone, Jr. and Brent (Fang) Johnstone; grandchildren, Brittany (Sean) Gefell, Garrett (Caitlyn Wicks), Michaela and Sara Johnstone; special great granddaughter, Anndi Rae Gefell; siblings, Dorothy Snyder, Richard (Mary) Johnstone, and Sharon Bennett; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Jeanne Johnstone; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alan proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Coast Guard, where he was involved in many rescues.  He was known for his artwork and woodworking.

Alan's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (January 7), 11 AM at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.
