Dennie, Albert C. "Al"
Palmyra: Passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 84. He was born in Palmyra, NY on November 27, 1930 to the late Walter and Sarah Adelaide "Bullard" Dennie. He was predeceased by his sisters, Margaret, Frances, Martha and Ida; brothers, Stanley and David Dennie and nephew Robert Dennie. He is survived by his daughter Pamela (Gary) Hughes and David (Diane) Dennie; two grandchildren Cassandra Hughes and Danielle Ocasio; two great grandchildren, Rachel Ocasio and Cole Dennie, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Al served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He had a love for horses and enjoyed watching them race. Over the years, Al would collect paintings and statues of horses. He had been an assistant scoutmaster and a past governor of the Palmyra Moose Lodge. He was also a charter member of the former Palmyra Ambulance.
Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, NY 14522. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Al will be offered on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10AM at the Zion Episcopal Church, 120 East Main Street, Palmyra, NY 14522. Interment Palmyra Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Al may be directed to Moose Charities, 155 South International Drive, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539-1100. Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com
