Archie Scott, (79), of Macedon, NY passed away surrounded by family on October 3, 2023 after a short and courageous battle with metastatic cancer.

Archie grew up in Syracuse, NY and was a self-made man. In his younger years, Archie had a paper route, bartended, landscaped, was a hair stylist, and worked in factory work before moving to Rochester to work for Xerox. While at Xerox, Archie received several awards and promotions. Archie retired from Xerox and worked for Wegmans in Perinton and then Newark. Archie was lovingly referred to as the "mayor" because everywhere he went he knew someone. Archie attended Silver Sneakers in Gananda 3 times a week and had a large group of friends that were like family. Archie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, photography, Buffalo Bills, dogs, and talk radio.

Archie is survived by three children Jeffrey Scott, Michael Scott (Emily Corcoran), and Renee Brean (Alan Webster). Archie has two grandchildren, Zane Scott and Michelle Scott. Archie also has several other blood and adopted family members, and many close friends. Archie is predeceased by his parents Jack and Thelma Scott, brother Earl Scott, son Brian Keith Scott, wife Joyce Scott, and partner Laura Wagner.

At Archie's wish, his family will be having an intimate graveside service on October 14, 2023 11AM at Macedon Village Cemetery. No flowers please. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Laurel House in Newark, NY. At a later date, the family will be holding a charity event in Archies' memory.
