Arthur Bruce Etter

Rochester:  Arthur Bruce Etter, "Bruce", passed away peacefully in Strong Memorial Hospital on May, 4, 2019, at the age of 78, with his family by his side.

He is predeceased by his parents Arthur Gottlieb Etter and Mildred Morse Etter, his sister Patricia Etter DeRoller, and many uncles and aunts.

He leaves behind a loving family: nieces Yvonne DeRoller, of Halifax, Canada; Melanie (Joe) Williams of Greece; Deirdre (Kent) Pellegrino, of Brockport; and nephew Thomas (Sandy) DeRoller, Jr., of Rochester. Also surviving him are great nieces Lauren DeRoller, of Montreal, Canada; Jasmine and Sereta Williams of Greece, Katelyn (Mark) Brado of Livonia, and Jessica (John Dilal, Jr.,) DeRoller, of Rochester.

Bruce was born on August 20, 1940, with cerebral palsy, but he was always cheerful and known for his sense of humor. A graduate of Jefferson High, he played percussion in band. An avid music lover, he was an encyclopedia of Big Band and Pops orchestra trivia, and he loved old westerns and baseball.  He was a beautiful person, and a loving uncle who will be sadly missed. Very special thanks to Sarah Harrington, RN, and the staff in the palliative care unit.

The family has held a private service.
