Arthur E. Woods

Niagara Falls, NY: Arthur (Erine) passed away peacefully at his son and daughter-in-law's home in Ontario, NY on June 28, 2017 surrounded by his family at the age of 75. He is preceded by his parents Harold and Lillian (Thiel) Woods. Art is survived by his three children, Lisa Woods of Grand Island,NY, Cheryl Woods of Ocala, FL and John (Dawn) Woods of Ontario, NY;  one granddaughter Ainsley Woods, two sisters Susan Schryvers of Sioux Falls, SD  and Judy Larsen of Stickney, SD; his many nieces nephews ; and the rest of his family and friends.

Art served honorably in the USAF for four years and after his service he became a Journeyman Electrician for the IBEW Local 237 in Niagara Falls, New York from which he retired in 1999. In 1973 Art notably received an award from IBEW and OPP when he was credited with saving the lives of three people. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, hot rods and was a member of the

American Legion, John J  Welch Post 381 for fifty-two years where he was also on the Board of    Directors for twenty-five years.

His family wishes to thank Lifetime Care Home Health and Hospice of Wayne County for their collective care and compassion during this difficult time.
