Penfield/Webster:  Passed away peacefully on June 3, 2016.  Audrey was born to the late Henry and Matilda "Pierce" Rohde on July 16, 1929 in Lockport, NY. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. Joensen, Sr.,  and dear mother of the late Paul A. Joensen, Jr.  She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Buisman, Laurie DeSantis, John (Tammy) Joensen, Doug (Karin) Joensen,  and Dan (Lori) Joensen. Loving grandmother to Kristi (Brett) Wilkerson,  Jaime (Dan) Ortiz, Brian (Carrie) Buisman, David (Cathie) Buisman, Tim (Marnie) Buisman, Adam (Brittany) Joensen, Nick (Abby) Joensen,  Kaitlin (Dan) Joensen, Jenna Joensen and Riley Joensen. Devoted great-grandmother  to Jordan Wilkerson, Kailey Wilkerson, Aidan Ortiz, Ryan Ortiz, Paul Buisman, Emma Buisman, Quinn Buisman, Connor Joensen and Declan Joensen.  Sister to Marion Montemayor, Jim Rohde, Kathy (Hubert) Burns, as well as many adored nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Audrey graduated from the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing and devoted over thirty years as a registered nurse at Hill Haven Nursing Home in Webster, NY. She retired in 1996 to spend more time at her Fenwick Island, Delaware beach home after having raised her children in the Rochester, NY area.  She was an active member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Webster, NY as well as St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ocean City, Maryland.  Audrey devoted her life to her family and friends and was always among the first to help others in need. She participated in every life event involving her children and grandchildren and gave unconditional love to all.  She was an avid gardener and loved to fish with her sons and grandsons.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5-8PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 9:30AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gebhardt Road, Penfield, NY 14526.  A private burial will follow the Mass at Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield.  In lieu of flowers,  contributions in memory of Audrey may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at http://hope.abta.org/goto/Audrey_Joensen.  Online condolences may be made at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
