Macedon: Passed away on May 22, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents Hudson and Anna Wright and her husband Raymond. She is survived by her sister, Cathie (Paul) Blackwell; daughters, Catherine (Edward) Smith, Sarah (Gregory) Jorgensen and Theresa (Matthew) Bindig; sons, Damian (Annette) and Andrew (Sandra) Weidmann; grandchildren, Caitlin, Morgan and Hudson Smith, Elijah, Tobias and Margaret Rose Jorgensen, Henry, Maxwell and Harper Bindig, Ambrose and Blaise Weidmann, Isabella and Sebastian Weidmann; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Barbara graduated from Lyons Central High School in 1957 and St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1960. Barbara started her career as a nurse and then spent many years assisting her husband with his accounting business. After most of her children had left the "nest", Barbara returned to nursing. She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary, St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Macedon, NY and was a member of the High Hopes Club for fifty years. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In recent years, she spent most of her time babysitting, traveling with, and enjoying, her children and grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10AM, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 52 Main Street, Macedon, NY 14502. Interment will be private.
