Betty J. Morrison-Boughton

Macedon:  Betty passed away suddenly on November 26, 2015 at age 85.  She was born in West Walworth, NY to the late Clearance and Isabelle Freeland on September 20, 1930.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Roger Morrison; daughters, Barbara Dombrouski and Kathy Castellana; grandson, Nicholas Cummings.  She is survived by her husband, Robert Boughton; children, Jackie (Dick) Cook, Cindy (Ang) Naro, Judy (Dan) Cummings, Pam (Joel) Youngman, JoAnne (Daniel Phillips) Stapleton, Roger (Christie) Morrison, Bonnie (Tim Duncan) Morrison; 27 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren on the way; sisters, Beverly Case and Carol (Eddie) Bastian; brother, Harold Freeland; step-daughters, Karen (Greg) Siegelman, Collen (Jim) Myer and Kathy Boughton; many nieces, nephews and so many great friends.

Betty was a devoted mother of 9 children and in 1972 she was selected as mother of the year through the Democrat and Chronicle.  She was very involved with her children's social and after school events.  Betty would always attend both her children and grandchildren's sporting events.  She was their number 1 fan.  As a mother of 9, Betty also worked in the Pal-Mac School District as well as the family business, Roger Morrison Excavating.  While working for her family business, some of her jobs included bookkeeping, driving dump trucks and operating bull dozers.  Betty was a long time member of the Palmyra First Baptist Church and belonged to many social clubs, where she enjoyed playing cards with her friends.

Friends may join the family for calling on Monday (November 30) from 4-8 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY.  Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday (December 1) at 11 AM at Palmyra Baptist Church, 100 W.
