Calvin Lewis Battle (Bubba) was born to Alice Mae (Pender) Battle and Alvin Lewis Battle on January 7,1957 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He was the second child of six children. Calvin entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 21,2024 at home.

Calvin attended Sodus Central High School in Sodus, New York. He enjoyed sports and had a passion for fishing, boating and wood working. He briefly attended State University of New York in Albany, New York then transferred to Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, New York where he received his associate's degree in nursing. He worked for many years as a drug and alcohol counselor at Finger Lakes area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA), He also worked as a Nurse at Demay Living Center in Newark New York and was currently employed at F.F. Thompson Hospital at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, New York until his untimely death.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Alvin and his Mother Alice. He leaves to cherish his memory, His loving wife Karen Battle, His Daughter, Ralena Rowe of Fort Mills, SC and two Grandchildren, Amira and Logan, His Stepdaughter, Amy (Anthony) Crawford and Step grandchildren Jordan, Devin and Kendra of Newark New York, his siblings, Kenneth (Denise) Battle of North Charleston, SC, Keith (Pat) Battle of Newark, NY, Freddie Battle of Long Beach, CA, Freida Battle of Charleston, SC, and Carmelia Battle of Long Beach, CA. He had a special relationship with Dennis who he thought of as a nephew. he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends in New York and Florida.
