It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmen Colón, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Carmen was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Born in Trujillo Alto Puerto Rico, she lived a life full of resilience and joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, always putting her family first and cherishing every moment spent with loved ones. Carmen's warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith carried her through life's challenges, leaving an enduring impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her children, Victor Jr, Nancy [Edwin], Christine, three grandchildren Joshua [Melissa] Jocelynn, Santino [Michael] and three great-grandchildren, London, Miah and Nova who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is now reunited with those who passed before her, including her husband Victor Sr. and daughter Michelle.
Carmen's legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched. Her kindness, laughter, and love will never be forgotten. Carmen worked at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, in the Child Development Center, where her nurturing nature shone through. She was also a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tampa, where she attended services regularly and was deeply committed to her faith.
Carmen was also a gifted cook, always ensuring that a warm, delicious meal was on the table for her family. Her cooking was made with love, and you could taste that love in every bite. Her family will forever cherish the meals she prepared.
She had a deep love for animals of all kinds, always feeding those in need. Her home was never quiet, as Carmen's love for her pets filled every corner with warmth and life. She inspired her grandchildren to share that same love for animals, creating a lasting bond of compassion.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, February 13, 2025 10 am- noon at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel 1040 Route 31, Macedon, NY. Her Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 pm at All Season's Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. Pittsford, NY 14534. Burial to follow.
