Howard, Carol  J.

Palmyra:  Passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 66.  She was predeceased by her brother Kenny.  Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill; sisters, Betty, Thelma (Champ), Ruth ( Mike); brothers, Loren (Ruth Ann), Jim (Marge) other family and friends.

Carol was born to Albert and Helen Coler on December 30, 1947 in North Lima, Ohio.  Carol grew up in North Lima and graduated from High School there in 1965.  Bill and Carol would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2015.  Although Carol struggled with many physically debilitating illnesses, she always tried to find the time to help and serve others.  She and Bill were very active with their church.  The church was a part of her family.  At one point, Carol had the entire Book of James commited to memory.  Throughout her struggles, she always maintained her faith and put her trust in God.  Bill will miss her tremendously but knows that she no longer suffers with her health matters.

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Carol's life on Monday, October 13, at 6PM, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1000 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513.  Memorials in memory of Carol may be directed to a charity of one's choice.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
