Fairport: On Monday, December 16, 2013 at the age of 90.  Predeceased by her husband Robert and grandsons Larry II and Lee Benedict.  Carol is survived by her sons, Rich (Linda), Larry (Linda), and Alan (Sue) Benedict; brother, Lew (Evie) Cull; sisters-in-law Nellie Cull and Magalene Benedict; grandchildren, Scott, Kim, Cindy, Julie and Laurie; 13 great -grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Carol loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren.  During her grandson Larry's battle with cancer, Carol could be found with her grandson and would "step in" when his parents could not be present.  Carol loved dancing and music.  Upon her retirement from banking she took piano lessons.  Carol enjoyed going to the Pittsford YMCA and loved to walk.  Carol was a life long member of the South Perinton Methodist Church.

Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 12 until 3PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 Route 31, Macedon where a service will follow.  Interment will take place at the South Perinton Cemetery in the Spring.  Memorials in memory of Carol may be directed to the Alzheimer's  Association of Rochester and the Finger Lakes Region, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620; or CURE Childhood Cancer Association, 20 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
