Hayes, Catherine Mabel    "Kay"

Sodus/Cheektowaga:  Passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the age of 93.  Born on April 11, 1921 to Margaret and Herbert Ball; Kay was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2004.  She is survived by her children, Ilene (Al) Cunningham, Brian (Kathy) Hayes and Sheila Storms; grandchildren, Audrey (Dan) Gage, Eric (Michele) Krzyzanowski, Leighana (Brien) Woodward, Amber, Blake and Reese Cunningham; great grandchildren, Nolan and Cameron Gage.

Kay spent most of her life living in the Buffalo area.  Kay was married for 56 years to the love of her life Edward. The two built their home and raised their family.  Her daughter, Sheila, says that one of her parents favorite trips was to Spain and Denmark.  She remarked at how they fondly reflected back on how much they enjoyed the trip.  After her husband passed away, Kay moved out to Wayne County to live.  Kay was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic faith community and will be interred next to her husband at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.  Kay enjoyed Irish music, a glass of Chablis and the color pink.  She will be missed by her family and remembered fondly.
