It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Christopher Raw, age 34, who died on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.  Chris, a resident of Rochester, NY, was known for his creative spirit, infectious smile, and ability to talk to anyone.

Born in Liverpool, NY, on September 8, 1990, Chris lived his life with curiosity, passion, and a fierce loyalty to his friends, family, and his two fur buddies, Rory and Salem.  A talented guitar player, Chris enjoyed sharing his musical gifts with others and creating and listening to music of all genres.  We will all miss his kind heart, music recommendations, and exceptional guitar skills.

Chris is survived by his loving mother, Marlies Raw; and his devoted brothers, Evan (Marguerite) Raw and Nathan (Jasmeen Rajpal) Raw. Chris is also survived by his grandmothers, Ellen Nowacki and Dorice Raw; aunts, Kim (Kevin) Kulik, Mandi (Mark) Hebebrand, Mara (Craig) Swan, and Maya (Paul) Trawinski; and uncle, Ken Holder. Chris was preceded in death by his beloved father, Donald Raw Jr.; his grandfathers, Thomas Nowacki Jr. and Donald Raw Sr.; and aunt, Terri Beach-Holder.

We ask that you keep Chris close to your heart. Look for opportunities to spread kindness and help others in need. Chris will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
