Coleen R. McPike

Palmyra: Passed away peacefully at home Easter Sunday at age 89 with adoring family by her side.  Born November 20, 1925, in Kinston, NC, she became a resident of Palmyra, NY, in 1946.  She was active in several local music, historic, church, social and science organizations.  Coleen enjoyed a long and memorable career as a beautician.  Her love of travel took her to Greece, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Aruba and many excursions within the States.

Predeceased by her husband, Dale McPike; sons, Patrick and Daniel; son-in-law, David Allen.  She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Larry) Forkey and Sally McPike; son, Gregory McPike; grandchildren, Cindy (Chris) Clark, Andrew (Dottie) Swanson, Trevor (Kerry) Chapman, Tori Chapman, Jason (Jennifer), Molly, Patrick, Sarah, Holly, Dan, Makenzie, Nathan and cherished great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was blessed with special friends.

Respects are welcomed at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY on Thursday (April 9) from 4-7 PM.  Her funeral service will be held on Friday (April 10) 10 AM at Zion Episcopal Church, 120 East Main St., Palmyra, NY.  Interment in St. Anne's Cemetery.  Memorial donations in Coleen's name may be directed to HOSPICE, 1120 S.
