Colleen Smith

Ontario: Passed away on February 3, 2018, surrounded by family at the age of 90.  Colleen was predeceased by her parents Harry and Margaret "Heenan" O'Connor and her brother Roger.  She is survived by her loving and devoted  husband Mark B. Smith; children, Brian (Maha) Smith, Thad Smith, Neal (Jane) Smith,  Mark A. "Drew" (Kirsten) Smith, Christopher Smith and Megan (David) Floyd; grandchildren Zane Smith, Mark Smith, Kelsea Smith, Taryn Smith, Carolyn (Jim) Wooster, Laura (Rob) Wright, Eric Smith, Rachel Smith, Amelia (Brian) Caraway, Jakob Smith,  Alexandra Smith, Adam Smith, Conor Floyd, Liam Floyd and Rhys Floyd; great grandchildren Kayla and Bryson Wooster and many loving nieces and nephews.

A native Rochesterian, Colleen graduated as president of Mercy High School Class of 1947.  She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital in 1950 as an RN.  She met her future husband of over 66 years at an Aquinas basketball game.  Colleen had notable artistic talent and a passion for gardening and antiquing. She was an avid outdoor enthusiast with many other hobbies.  Colleen was an active volunteer in numerous community organizations.  She loved to entertain and was ever the gracious hostess.  Above all, her most important characteristic was her love of family and the love they had for her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Colleen will be offered on Friday, February 9, 2018, 11AM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580.
