Connie L. Wemes

Phelps – Connie passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her sisters Amy Hale (Michael), Heidi Hoffman (Asa), Brother Jeremy Hammond, stepfather Ronald Hammond, as well as her Aunts; Barbara Merkley (Roger), Virginia Kratzenberg (Dale), and her Uncle Wesley Dangler (Terry), and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, Janet Dangler Hammond, her brother Michael Wemes and her father Terry Wemes.

Connie lived many years at the Route 488 group home in Phelps. There she was well cared for and loved by the wonderful nurses and staff. Connie was a lover of music, which brought her so much joy. Connie was a beautiful soul and touched so many lives.

Connie's close family will gather for a private memorial (date to be determined). Donations in Connie's memory can be donated to The House of John (hospice), 14 Spring Street Clifton Springs, NY 14432 (houseofjohn.org) or the American Cancer Society.
