Constance Catherine Flynn

"Connie"

Macedon:  Connie passed away on December 27, 2018 at age 70.  She was born in Brockton, MA to the late Robert and Sarah Flynn.  She is survived by her siblings, Bob (Joanne) Flynn and Laurie (Bob) Spencer; nephews, Nathaniel (Rachel) Spencer and Timothy (Jessica) Spencer.

A graduate of Genesee Hospital School of Nursing, Connie loved her 25 year career and the patients she cared for.  Unfortunately, she developed a severe allergy to latex which forced her to leave the profession.  She energetically advocated for latex victims, including writing a book.  She was a smart, determined woman who picked up the pieces and forged on with her life.  She bought a house on the canal, a place she loved immensely. She enjoyed interacting with boat and barge traffic.  She loved fishing and found many places she could expect a good catch.  Gardening and trading bragging rights with her brother about whose strawberries were better brought peals of laughter from her.  Most especially she loved animals, in particular her dog Casey, her special companion and confidant.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday (January 2, 2019), 2 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, LLC., 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie's memory may be directed to Pines of Peace, 2378 Ridge Rd., Ontario, NY 14519.
