Palmyra – Cornie passed away on January 2, 2024 at age 98.  He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Vanderwerf; long time companion, Virginia Wilson; stepdaughter, Sally Borland.

Cornie is survived by his many nieces and nephews and will be missed by his grandchildren, Donald (Kathy) Borland, great-grandchildren, Patrick (Paige) Borland, Katelynn (Alec) Bergstresser and Ryan Borland and son-in-law David Borland.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Friday (January 12) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 E. Jackson St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  A memorial service for Cornie will be held on Saturday (January 13), 11 AM at Palmyra Reformed Church, 232 Canandaigua St., Palmyra, NY 14522.  Corny will be laid to rest in Palmyra Village Cemetery.
