Ryan, Daniel Walter     "Dan"

Chili:  Passed away on November 24, 2014 at the age of 65.  Dan was born in Albany, NY on June 4, 1949 to Eleanor and John Ryan.  He is survived by his daughter Shannon E. (Andrew) Struzik; sister, Diane Volcko; brother, Philip (Patrice) Ryan; grandchildren, Ryan A. and Braden A. Struzik; niece, Sara (Andrew) Hitt; nephews, Gregory Ryan, Ryan Volcko and Joseph Volcko; friend and former wife, Malaine Ryan and her children; Carrie Ryan, T'aire Ryan, Colby Aubert and Tremayne Ryan; other family and friends.

Dan enjoyed traveling.  He had an opportunity to visit Ireland where his ancestors had emigrated from over the past century .  He was proud of his Irish heritage.  Dan also enjoyed music, and the tropical sounds of Jimmy Buffet,  perhaps in part because of another area he had visited and loved, the Caribbean.  Dan also enjoyed baseball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  Professionally,  Dan was a pharmacist and had developed numerous relationships with the people he served.  His smile, laughter and comforting ways to so many of his patrons will always be remembered.

All are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2-5PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Dan's Funeral Mass will be offered on December 1, 2014 at 10AM, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield, NY 14526.  Interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield.  Memorial Contributions in memory of Dan may be directed to the Green Angels, PO Box 114, Palmyra, NY 14522.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
