Dave graduated from Haverling High School in 1945, continued on to Hobart College, graduating in 1949.  In October of that year, he married Haverling High School's popular music teacher, Mary Jane Peters.  Dave, and his father, worked together and published the Bath Pennysaver until their retirement in 1970.  Dave then ventured into the automotive industry and introduced the Subaru product to the people of the Southern Tier.  Dave continued to work in the industry for the next thirty years until his retirement from Burch Oldsmobile, Buick & Pontiac in 2000. Dave had been active in fraternal and civic organizations.  He was a past president of the Bath Rotary and he was a member of several antique auto clubs.  During his retirement, Dave was fortunate to have the opportunity to work for the Haverling Transportation Department as a school bus monitor for students with special needs.
