David passed away at home surrounded by family on December 25, 2025.

He leaves behind a wonderful, loving family who will deeply miss him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Yvonne Gibbs; brothers, Stephen Gibbs and Daniel Gibbs; his children and their spouses, Shelley May (Curtis Moody), Jeffrey (Colleen) Gibbs, and Tina Gibbs (Jose Figueroa); stepchildren, Andrea (Christopher) Snyder, Mark (Tara) Gibbs, and Betsy Gibbs (Mark Allen). He was also a proud and loving grandfather to 18 cherished grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

David was predeceased by his loving mother, Huldah Gibbs; his father, Lawrence Gibbs; and his brother, Timothy Gibbs.
