David V. Sidorenko  "Dave"

David V. Sidorenko: Originally of Northport, New York, passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2024, at the age of 55. He is survived by his wife, Wendy; his two kids, Zachary and Brittany; his mother, Eleanor; his sister, Victoria (Denis) McLaughlin; mother-in-law Dora Mullens, brothers-in-law, Charles (Nancy) Mullens, Jim (Kim) Mullens, Gary ( Lisa Rocklein) Mullens, and Scott (Kelly Smith) Mullens;  as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dave was a Lieutenant in the City of Rochester Fire Department. He served for over 19 years at multiple houses throughout the city where he was known for his dedication, leadership, sense of humor, and love for his fire department family.   Dave was a devoted father and husband and was married to his wife for 27 years. He dedicated his life to his family, supporting his two kids and actively participating in all of their activities. He was also a teammate on several hockey teams and spent many mornings at the rink with his friends and his son.  When not working or skating, he could be found watching his beloved Cowboys, Yankees, Islanders, and LSU football, working on his boat, or sitting by the water with a drink in his hand.

Dave will be missed by his entire extended family, his fire department family, and his many friends, teammates, and everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him.   A celebration of life will be held at the IAFF Local 1071 Union Hall at 65 Hudson Avenue Rochester, NY 14605 on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dave may be made out in the form of a check to the Elvis Reyes Memorial Scholarship Fund, and mailed to 65 Hudson Ave., Rochester, NY 14605 ( IAFF-LOCAL-1071-Elvis-Reyes-RCSD-Scholarship-2024 ).
