Diane Sullivan Dana, 90, of Ontario NY passed away on January 10, 2026 of natural causes. Born and raised in Cape Vincent, NY, the daughter of Winifred and John Sullivan. She loved the St. Lawrence River and nightly trips to Tibbetts Point Lighthouse as the sun set. She is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Francis W. Dana, her brothers John and Jerry and daughter-in-law Pam Dana and son-in-law Don Evans. 

 Her faith guided her life. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church for 63 years. Diane was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Martha ministry. 

 Diane was the biggest fan and loudest cheerleader when it came to watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in their sports, activities, and events. She enjoyed cheering on her beloved Buffalo Bills. 

 She loved to travel with trips to the Holy Land, Germany, Rome, Ireland, Alaska, Hawaii. Wherever she landed at home or abroad, she made friends easily and seemed to find someone she knew from back home. 

 Diane was a competitor, winning several golf and bowling championships. She was an avid euchre player and enjoyed a spirited game of cribbage with her family. She earned "Grand Master" title as a bridge player but mostly enjoyed play with her dear friends, often having marathon play dates.  She was a member of the Xerox Pioneer Club and the Xerox Senior Singles group.  She enjoyed arranging monthly luncheons. 

 Diane had a lifetime of celebrations. Surrounded by family, her 90th birthday was the most memorable extravaganza in her honor, an unforgettable parade! 

 Remaining to cherish her memory are her children; David (Barbara) Dana, Joann Evans, Daryl (Marisa) Dana and Bill (Amy) Dana; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Patricia Reinbeck and Rosemarie Sullivan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Diane will be offered on April 25, 2026, at Noon at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, 5823 Walworth Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
