Donald J. Batterson, Sr.    "Don"

Walworth:  Passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.    Don was born on August 23, 1955 in Rochester, NY to Louisa Horncastle and Donald E. Batterson. He is predeceased by his mother and sister, Cheryl L. Hetrick. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Bonnie Graves Batterson; children, Donald J. (Danielle Lowery) Batterson, Jr., Daniel R. and Jason A. Batterson; father  Donald E. Batterson; grandchildren, Leah and Ella Batterson; brothers, David ( Virginia) Batterson, Robert (Joanne) Hall and James (Amy) Hall; extended family and friends.

Don was a truck driver most of his life.  He worked in his earlier years for his father and grandfather as a driver for their family business, Batterson Moving and Storage.   In recent years he had been working for Conway-XPO Logistics as a driver out of Rochester.  He loved to fish and spend time at Bob Lake in Godfrey, Ontario, Canada.  Most of all, Don loved spending time with his family and especially his granddaughters.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10AM for a memorial service to celebrate Don's life, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 123 East Jackson Street, Palmyra, NY 14522.  Inurnment will be private.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com
