Donald A. Johnston

Fairport – Donald went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, peacefully surrounded by his family. Don was born in Rochester, NY to the late Clarence and Helen Johnston and he was also predeceased by his sister, Janet.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jeanette; sister, June (Johnston) Wiltse; children, Roger (Kim) Johnston, David (Lizabeth) Johnston, Linda (David) Caquatto, Kimberley (Paul) Spiegel, and Wendy (Michael) Murad; grandchildren, Justin Wyman, Joshua Johnston, Jennifer Marcaida, Mackenzie Jaworski, Bridgette Caquatto, Bailey Murad, and Connor and Justin Spiegel; 6 great grandchildren.

Born November 2, 1926, Don lived in Fairport, NY for most of his 95 years. He married the love of his life, Jeanette, on October 15, 1954, with whom he raised five children.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War who loved and served his country.  As a local business owner, he was hard working with unlimited generosity to anyone in need. A man of unwavering faith, we were so blessed to have him leading our family through life…he ran the good race.- 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 PM on Friday (October 15) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502. Don's funeral service will be held on Saturday (October 16), 11 AM at White Haven Memorial Park (All Seasons Chapel), 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to In Touch Ministries at www.intouch.org.
