Donald P. Reithel age 85 of Ontario, New York passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023. Donald was born April 8, 1938 in Rochester, New York, son of Raymond and Frances (Kalpin) Reithel. He is predeceased by his parents; wife Sibylle; brothers Raymond (Marilyn) and George; sister Shirley (Luther) Keymel.  He is survived by his stepson Kai Lieber; sister-in-law Kim Reithel; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Donald worked for JP Morgan Chase in Rochester for over 25 years in a variety of banking roles. He was an avid chess player, winning the Rochester Chess Club championship in 1973 and again in 1992. Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, New York 14519, where his funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Furnacevile Cemetery.
