Piatt, Dorothy June

Brighton:  Passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Jewish Home of Rochester at the age of 85.  She was born on June 15, 1929 in Jefferson City, Missouri to the late Naomi and William Waterworth. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George, on May 3, 2011. Survivors include her children, Mike (Mary) Piatt, Cynthia ( David) Harrell, Sandy (Chris Reithel) Gossin and Gregg (Nadine) Piatt; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Joanne Baslee; brothers, Doyle and James Waterworth, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy enjoyed country music, bowling, sewing, quilting, baking, canning and most of all, her grandchildren.  A celebration of the life of both Dorothy and George will begin with a time of visitation on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4-6PM, where a service will follow at 6PM, at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Interment will be private.
