Douglas R. Conant

Farmington – Douglas passed away from complications of Multiple Sclerosis on July 16, 2021 at age 60 after many years battle with MS.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Evelyn Conant; brother, Steven Conant.

Douglas is survived by his loving companion of 37 years, Gregory Warlick; brothers, Daniel (Linda) and David Conant; sister-in-law, Carol Conant; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Jeffrey, William, and Nancy and their families.

Douglas was a graduate of Pal-Mac high school class of '78, worked with his father William in the family construction business for several years.  He also worked for Mobil Chemical in Macedon, NY.  Douglas enjoyed finding and refinishing antique furniture, collecting Blue Willow china, along with any and all variety of collectables. He also enjoyed garage sales, auctions, flea marketing, and antique shows. Douglas also enjoyed gardening and decorating his gardens with rocks, and even as MS was taking over his body he continued his love of gardening and rocks while depending on an electric scooter for mobility.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3-7 PM on Tuesday (July 20) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY 14502.  A graveside service for Douglas will be held on Wednesday (July 21), 11 AM at Macedon Village Cemetery, Erie St., Macedon, NY.  To leave the family an online condolence, please visit www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
