E. Lois Camp

Walworth/Ontario/Moravia, NY:  Passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the age of 91.  Born on October 25, 1924 in Cayuga County, NY to the late Paul D. and Genevieve "Banks" Kennedy, Sr., Lois was also predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Norman E. Camp, Sr., and her brother, Paul D. Kennedy, Jr.; survived by her sons, Norman (Pat) Camp and Don (LuAnn) Camp; brother, Donald (Joan) Kennedy; grandchildren, Brian Camp, Janet (Jeff) Parker, Aaron (Julie) Camp, Rachel (David) Smith and Megan (Andre) Guay; 9 Great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her beloved Boston Terrier, Maggie.

Lois and Norman first lived in Key West, Florida when they got married.  Norman was serving in the United States Navy at the time.  They later moved to Moravia, NY where Norman was employed by the Methodist Conference Center, Casowasco;  Lois and their sons worked there as well.  Lois loved life around Owasco Lake and enjoyed camping.  She loved "hanging out with the boys".  Her family recalls her wonderful ability to bake delicious,  and artistically prepared, pie crusts.  She shared this passion with her family and they vow to attempt to keep the tradition going.  Lois loved sunny days and would spend countless hours out on the deck. She also loved her flowers and took an interest in birds. Lois had worked for Moravia Corset, Smith Corona and retired from Welch Allyn. She will be missed by her family but remembered fondly.

Friends and family may gather on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 4-8PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY where a service will follow the visitation at 8PM.  Interment will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Indian Mound Cemetery in Moravia, NY.  Online condolences may be left at www.murphyfuneralservices.com.
