Earl E. Vanderwall

Palmyra:  Passed away at his home on December 29, 2017 at age 86.  He was born in Palmyra, NY to the late Peter and Marie Vanderwall.  Earl was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Youngman) Vanderwall; brothers, Kenneth and Clarence Vanderwall; son-in-law, Bill Bounds.  He is survived by his children, Rickey (Kathy Klein) Vanderwall, Tina (Larry VanHoesen) Bounds, Terry (Robin) Vanderwall and Tracy (Dan Nichols) Vanderwall; grandchildren, Danyale, Vance, Nicole, Joshua, Derrick, Whitney, Timothy, Stephanie, Ashley and Skylar; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Vanderwall; sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Leo) Johnson and Doreen (John) Westerman and Shirley Youngman; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Earl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was employed as an Engineer for Garlock in Palmyra, NY, until he retired after 42 years.  He was part owner of Van's Nursery.  Earl was a very devoted family man, a farmer and enjoyed watching all sports.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4-7 PM on Tuesday (January 2, 2018) at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY, where a funeral service for Earl will be held on Wednesday (January 3, 2018) at 11 AM.  Interment in East Palmyra Cemetery.  Contributions in Earl's memory may be directed to a charity of choice.
